According to Ayurveda, each of us has a unique prakruti (balanced psycho-physical constitution) and vikruti (imbalances in our psycho-physical constitution). Ayurveda refers to our individual prakruti as our dosha. Viewing yourself from the standpoint of your doshas provides you a foundation for understanding the causes of imbalance and illness from the Ayurvedic perspective. Ayurveda is uniquely capable of creating a plan of action that illuminates the cause of the imbalance and provide continual support for rejuvenation. The continuum of self healing begins with an assessment of your predominant dosha and awareness of the behaviors that are in conflict with our dosha, as well as the behaviors that enhance or balance the dosha. From there you must be willing to accept responsibility for your healing and be accountable for your transformation. Self healing is a continuum of learning about yourself and behaving in concert with your truth.
